A Quiet Moment of Reflection
Amidst the proliferation of selfies and posed photographs, the Haram al-Madani unveils numerous breathtaking and profoundly moving scenes. Here, individuals immerse themselves in fervent dua, silent contemplation, Quranic recitations, and zikr, all while remaining oblivious to their surroundings.
In such sacred moments, pulling out a camera or approaching someone feels not only inappropriate but also disrespectful. There likely exists a poignant narrative in these instances, one that may remain untold within the Ummah. Nevertheless, that is acceptable, as ultimately, what matters is that Allah Most High knows all things.
Encountering individuals who are camera-shy, a rarity in today's world, is not uncommon. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, many of our brothers express discomfort in making direct eye contact with the camera and posing for a photo. This reluctance to engage in such modern practices is a beautiful expression of the fitra, a manifestation that appears to be gradually fading away.
May Allah Most High bestow His blessings upon the Ummah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) eternally.
