Madinah the place you ought to be
So special that you cannot possibly see
What an illuminated city it can be

The city of the Prophet, oh so kind
With a smart, thoughtful and wisdomful mind
He lived, he prospered, and then he passed
But his knowledge will always continue to last

His legacy will always shine
In this beautiful city of mine

People come from near and far
To see the green dome
They come to see Masjid al-Nabawi
And make this place their home

One of the best two cities in the world
It has so much to offer
It has rich Islamic history that people would want to foster

Masjid Quba
The first masjid ever to be built
And the best mountain in Madinah
Jabal Ouhud

Both are special
Both are unique
But the special things
Have not reached their peak

Coldest in the winter
Hottest in the summer
But easy to adjust
For any newcomer

Winter is like spring for the believer
Is what the prophet taught
And though summer heats may be a scorcher
You’ll still love Madinah with all you’ve got

Madinah oh Madinah
So special and sublime
Your beauty and charm
Are simply hard to define

Madinah the city
You’ll never come to hate
For its beauty and essence
Are truly worth the wait
