Shaykh Salah al-Budair
Salah bin Muhammad al-Budair currently serves as both an Imam and Khatib at the Masjid al-Nabawi. He was born in 1970 in the Eastern Saudi Arabian city of Al-Hofuf, into a family which traces his ancestry back to the Bani Tamim tribe.
Shaykh Salah began leading prayers in an official capacity in Dammam, eventually moving to Riyadh, before being appointed to the Masjid al-Nabawi in 1419 Hijri. His responsibilities extend beyond leading prayers; he also serves as a judge in the legal courts of Madina.
Notably, Shaykh Salah has also lead prayers in the Haram al-Makki, specifically during the Tarawih prayers in the years 1426 and 1427 Hijri (corresponding to 2005 and 2006).
In a testament to his academic dedication, he earned a doctorate in Islamic Studies with distinction from King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa in March 2023.
